Cranbrook was originally the estate of newspaper magnate George Booth. George and Ellen Booth founded Cranbrook Educational Community here. Cranbrook House, designed in the Arts & Crafts style by Albert Kahn (see the preceding photo), now contains administrative offices. This "fairy tale" representation of idyllic life is set into a wall of the house.
