Samsung Electronics hosted “Children’s Art Contest” where children and their parents are welcome to participate, using their imagination and Galaxy Note 10.1 in Seoul. The contest will run through Oct 7th at both Jamsil Pororo Park and Yeongdeungpo Time Square. Children from preschool to 3rd grade can join the contest to draw on Galaxy Note 10.1.

삼성전자가 2일 서울 영등포 타임스퀘어 '딸기가 좋아'에서 개최한 '우리 아이 상상력 그리기 대회'에 참가한 아이와 학부모가 '갤럭시 노트 10.1'을 이용해 그림 솜씨를 뽐내고 있다. 영등포 타임스퀘어 '딸기가 좋아'와 잠실 '뽀로로 파크'에서 10월 7일까지 개최되는 이번 행사에는 미취학 아동(만3~6세), 초등학교 1~3학년생이 학부모와 함께 참여할 수 있으며 현장에서 갤럭시 노트 10.1로 그린 그림을 응모하면 된다.

“I have called my canvas 'Building Sea Walls.' I came from a coastal village. These days, the tide is different compared with how it was 20 years ago.I am proud to participate in this Canvas For Change project. Oxfam has done a wonderful thing on behalf of our people. Rich nations should see how little we contribute to these gas emissions, but how we bear the consequences. I hope that our leaders will pursue this issue at regional and global level, with the assistance and support of organisations such as Oxfam. Though the voices of our communities will not be heard directly, the canvas will speak for us.”

Artists from around the world have painted canvases illustrating the human impact of climate change in their countries. Sixteen of these canvases are being exhibited at the UN Climate Negotiations in Poznan, Poland, from December 1, 2008.

I have a bunch of these snowflakes hanging in my office. I made them for Christmas, but they're too pretty to take down! I think they can just as easily pass for stars, so I'm going to make a bunch more in brighter colors so they look less wintery and can hang all year. My office has boring white walls that I can't paint so these brighten it up considerably. Learn how to make them yourself here.

Diese Skulptur hockte im Fenster auf der "Burg" !
Warum der Künstler sie unbedingt dort platzierte ist mir unbekannt.
Könnte sich um eine Arbeit von David Handrick handeln.
Der Lageplan ist leider auf meinen Foto unvollständig, eventuell kann mich jemand von der Burg berichtigen.

Die Burg Giebichenstein Hochschule für Kunst und Design Halle hatte vom 17. bis 19. Juli zur Jahresausstellung 2009 eingeladen, damit die Studenten ihre Werke der allgemeinen Öffentlichkeit vorstellen konnten.

The Rotary Club of Adliya "Earth Day Art Competition" took place on Friday 21st March 2008 and raised BD26,750 for charitable causes.

BD20,000 will be donated to the Ministry of Social Development in order for them to build a specialised Art Centre and Workshop for people with special needs.

BD2,000 will be donated to the "Philipines Workers Association" to help destitute Filipino workers fly back home should they wish to.

Paintings will also be auctioned and money generated from the auctions will be used for further charitable causes.
